Feb 12 Feb 12 the Art of design mark jang Plants, Styling “GOODBYE AMAZON RAINFOREST....the Brazil government will have it burned off and cleared before anyone can step in...... same with other O2 producing land.HELLO RAINFOREST POCKETS......WE made our own. in an urban city with 7 -60’ ft. tall redwoods. ,lots of mature native oaks, worm composting systems (5), loads of drought tolerant succulents, aloe and agave, and now the bamboos are bursting . our accumulation of materials are being recycled into fences, retaining walls, earthquake containers, garden stakes , planting raised beds ,sculptures and a few WCDs. all without the easy way...the dumps/landfill. easily carbon neutral. i started to level another section for an in -law unit and set up my pitch back and batting net and throwing wcd target on the first level area. but a yellowjacket nest and stings set me back. i almost got nailed by a second nest. i was going to take it out on 7/4 but ?? an anonymous samaritan killed them???? last night??? while laying low during the yellow black seige we discovered a bumper crop of Arrow bamboo which should show new growth by the end of summer.. It is the greatest urban bamboo: zillions of crafts uses, grows straight up to 10’ , about 3/8” dia.,a nice ,thick ,green screen, easy to grow in pots, and CAN TAKE PARTIAL SHADE. I can pre sale at a low price for those who have my email. i think the species is called Madake. look it up.then THE RANCH..... still un subdivided (but i can, into 6-5ac. parcels) . the wildfires burned some bamboo and huge native oaks but the self contained valley is pristine with deer, wild turkeys(not t’rump), birds and now california quail (the state bird), field mice....plus the seasonal stream and ponds, grazing grasses, more. no rattlesnakes spotted still.! no asphalt or concrete heat sinks. cooling breezes from 1 pm on. even on hot days. and no carbon footprint. anyone want to buy carbon offsets? when nukes hit the bay area or the ice cap melts, we’re going there.🐮🐸🐝🐞🦋🌲🎋the Art of Design at work 🌻🌎🦌🐴recent photos: windchimes from my broken tennis racquet and metal color chips from omnidesign. 15+ years old, rusty but still works, sounds soothing....my vintage reeboks...a menehune waiting for a hair transplant .....better than T’rump who sucks.....harvest time for hair transplants....redneck wine glass but with GOOD CALIFORNIA wine..thanks, JD......BLM...Chinese pancakes with secret ingredient, Amy’s hat for buzz, too small, made a purse for Fiona, 3 tier outdoor storage system with a sink in the middle all work and functionTHE ART OF WAR, WW5world war 5 started on tues 1400 hours june 25/2020, when 1 YELLOWJACKET attacked without warning. i followed all the rules by Sun Tzu Chen from the ART OF WAR. . WIthin 10 seconds of attack i walked slowly without panic into the house, into bathroom, shut the door ( “when attacked, determine the source, act methodically). the first sting was on the eyelid, then he followed me in and with an accomplice, resumed the battle and nailed my neck and shoulder. 1 was in my shirt so i took it off and wadded it up and threw into the bathtub and added water. the other was buzzing the lightbulb so i opened the door to the outside and i exited the inside door.. (know your ingress and egress). knowing my art of war , i made sure the enemy had left and tended to my wounds. from the first battle in 1995, i learned my first aid sequences..( when wounded, and safe, recover first while planning your counter) i researched, called my expert and built 4 traps from materials on hand: defrosted chicken , barbecue sauce and dawn. in recycled bottles. no time for the store. then i emailed my neighbors and allies with details of the attack.( keep your enemies at distance but keep your allies informed) . i made a somewhat safe reconnaissance in the late afternoon, when they hunker in their bunker. but no machine gun nest spotted.. i tended to my wounds and contacted kaiser for advice. and managed to rest the night. the mornings relief was short lived as the swelling and throbs resumed. ...i still needed to locate the nest while they were still asleep . and carefully i found it. they stirred and i retreated. however i had to take a chance and pinpoint the location and clear it for attack. . (analyze the risk and rewards) so i took an chance. came back ,cleared the area and they came out and i retreated to the far end of the yard. but i underestimated their need to counter my counter and followed me where the soldier nailed me on the other side of the neck. again!! i followed the rules of war and retreated with 1 more painful casualty . throbbing . ( if you can predict an outcome you will be an invincible warrior. otherwise learn from your loss) . now that i know where the machine gun nest is and the area is clear, i will let the traps diminish their ranks. and gather MY resources.. current casualty tally yellow jackets 8 mark 637. but my expert said a big nest can be up to 1000, so my estimate of 50 per nest is way low. makes me feel better. (moral victories are victories). my wounds are flaring but that’s LIFE IN A WAR. this looking to be the toughest battle yet. but Sun Tzu Chen :”the sacrifices are better when you are winning”. but ....ouch! i decided that i did not have the resources to effectively fight on so i called in for a ground strike. i worked on my traps and actually discovered a new weapon that also traps flies. Both bee types are unaffected. i waited. (vigilant planning beats foolish forays) says Sun tzu. day 5 , our reinforcement arrived at hour 0011. he assessed the area and confirmed my location. it took 3 minutes for sgt. spencer to nuke the nest. the Drione is environmentally safe for humans, but pinpoints and dehydrates all of them especially the queen. (cut off the head of the leader and eliminate the breeder)the rest of the day for art and design....R N R.....BUTT, THE BUTTS ARE BACK,! a second nest found 12” from where i was working.....oooops. i backed away, moved the traps there, an made a large trap.....i did something else. The next morning, there was dirt along THE sidewalk. no YJ....MOVED THE POTS, still none. raked the leaves away and found no hole! but dirt was packed inna bowl size depression. No YJ.....i added a 3’ long pvc tube and poured in soapy water...a lot. the whole day. we guess A MYSTERY GOOD SAMARITAN CAME IN THE AM.?.....? still no Yellowbitters. day 12. the reinforcement from Vector 5 came promptly on monday after the long 4th weekend. checked both nests told us all the possibilities and all he could coME up with was good samaritan......pronounced WW5 over on day12. good job by our LOCAL GOVERNMENT. the usa one stinks....SECEDE NOW.. both allies said my score was too low YJ -8. MJ-637even YJ-8. MJ-3011 is low. YELLOW BITTERS...mean, nasty, vindictive, hides then ambushes as a group, on defenseless women and children, or they get caffeinated women to attack as “no one would hit a woman”...no redeeming value unlike. bees 🐝 and 🐞.eats raw, rancid chicken, super ugly, and worse is they protect the queen. (fat , sits in the nest, eats and breeds)the best designs are one that you create on your ownEZ Mask soft, breathable, washable, functional, fits over most surgical masks, 2 cuts with just a scissors,, under 60 seconds, repurposed, fun. simply cut the front part just below the waist band. the waist band can be snugged with rubber band or make 1 cut in the mid point and tie a snug fit around your head.... the whole back piece and the attached front piece can tuck and snug into your collar. experiment with various styles and fabrics. bonus: it is easy converted to a pirate bandana in 10 seconds...and back. just flip the mask over your head and tuck under the waist band. a mark jang fun n functional design.salons now open !! i haven’t been to one in years. except when i get. 1950s flatop with fins. i just let it grow, then “harvest the hair” to use in my sculptures or WCDs. see photo of 2 ponytails. righteous and right on.”
